It Was A Snowy New Year

First post of the year. What did i do for New Year's? Brought two non-KLians to experience what was new year like in KL. Gave them 3 choices, The Curve, clubbing or stay at home. Well since one was underage decided to head to The Curve.

Our 2 victims are Phei Yee and her brother.

Settled at theobroma's Chocolate Lounge to chill while waiting for midnight to come.

Shared Belgian waffles and a frappe.

Pig~

Some not so "everyday" shots. Like the "David Hockney"  technique of panorama

Some slow shutter shots.

Oh ya speaking of The Curve, it was packed as hell. Like literally packed and for a no good reason, half of the people there were either drunk or packed with adrenaline. Damn alot of jostling and shoving around there.

Dunno what this picture is suppose to mean. Did i catch a ghost here?lols

Some artsy-fartsy shots

So ya was waiting at Sanctuary for the countdown, at 1158pm there was no countdown, at 1159pm no countdown, than all of a sudden there were fireworks, epic fail. Than when the fireworks all went up, every started spray-snowing each other. It was almost like a huge snow storm had hit the curve.

I'm too old for this, or else I would have joined them too, too bad for me, use to find this so fun, but now i worry bout my camera and my clothes. Haih when we were still young. Apparently snow cans are banned in Penang, to bad for Penangities.

So yeah when the fireworks lit up the sky everyone stopped their snow fight to observer the fireworks, peace for like 10 minutes and than it was all back again to spraying each other.

I pity the people who have to clean all the mess up, the empty spray cans was like almost everywhere and there were people blowing their air horns.

Not trying to be a spoilsport, but I did enjoy the celebrations, just that i think my two friends found this quite scary as in Kuantan all they ever do is head to the beach for a new year's celebration. Oh well in KL we do it the KL way.

KL and It's Mood for Christmas

Yes yes, I know I am a little late about Christmas, nonetheless during Christmas i had a great time with my family and friends. In the morning of Christmas i went out with my parents for a Christmas high-tea in one of the hotels in KL.

The spread for the high-tea was not really that awesome. To be honest the spread was quite plain actually.

Nevertheless they did include some local Malaysian delicacies like the "Ice kacang".

 And the satay.

There were also some Christmas Themed items in the spread, like christmas muffins and puddings.

Overall a simple but nice meal with the family.

Took a stroll in KL after the meal. Man, KL was packed with people. Everyone seemed to be doing their last minute shopping. KL seemed to be in the Christmas mood

Some people came dressed for the occasion with Santa Hats and reindeer hats.

Any hozer, Merry Christmas again from Flash-it-baby! It's never too late as there is 12 days of Christmas :)

Jingle The Bells

What did i do for Christmas? Well what better to spend it with but with your closest friends.

Headed to Vintry's to have a little Christmas gathering with some of my close friends and to have a little gift exchange. The rules for the gift exchange were set earlier, no photo frames, no mugs and nothing recycled and the gift has to be more than RM 15. I think this are a really good set of rules and should be implemented for every Christmas gift exchange, this would really root out the cheap skates and reduce the crap presents during a Christmas gift exchange

As Vintry was a wine cellar, we decided to have some wine on the side while we catch up with each other and to get to know some new people. The pork here apparently is really good. Did not have the heart to try it out as was really packed from a Christmas Buffet I attended earlier

Wine was picked by EeT's other half who is an experience wine connoisseur.

Haven't seem my high school mates for at least 6 months.

Met some new people and shared stories.

Mun Mun and Hidayat.

Alvin and EeTs.

Choong and Janics

Some of Elaine's friends.

More like a Christmas Dinner minus the turkey and other stuff.

Yin Choong's bday was on the 26th so it was only appropriate to wish him at 12pm.

Group picture.

Bday boy with his cake.

Gift exchange time

The folks and their spoils.

Small and simple gathering.Time to hit the sack now..
